III. Manage¶
1. System Status¶
On the System Status page, you can check the status of the range extender system, including:
- Devices: shows the number of devices connected to this range extender, via Ethernet cable or 2.4G WiFi or 5G WiFi. Click More Details to know more information about these devices.
- Host Network: shows the status, SSID and signal about the Host Network being extended by this Range Extender. Click More Details to know more information about it or make changes on Settings page.
- Wireless 2.4G: shows the extended Wireless 2.4G status, SSID and channel. Click More Details to know more information about it or make changes on Settings page.
- Wireless 5G: shows the extended Wireless 5G status, SSID and channel. Click More Details to know more information about it or make changes on Settings page.
- LAN: shows the LAN port status, IP address and subnet mask. Click More Details to know more information about it or make changes.
- System: shows the system firmware version, local time and uptime. Click More Details to view more information about it or make changes on Settings page.
2. General Settings¶
2.1 - Wireless 2.4G¶
Customize the range extender's 2.4G wireless settings, including SSID and password, mode, channel, channel width and transmit power, and so on.
2.2 - Wireless 5G¶
Customize the range extender's 5G wireless settings, including SSID and password, mode, channel, channel width and transmit power, and so on.
2.3 - Host Network¶
Connect to an existing network that you would like to extend.
2.4 - Firmware¶
Update the range extender's firmware to be the latest version.
3. Advanced Settings¶
3.1 - Network¶
- LAN: Modify the range extender's LAN IP address, when necessary.
3.2 - System¶
- System Time: Configure the range extender's system time, necessary for some time-based functions.
- Firmware: Upgrade the firmware to the latest version.
- Backup/Restore: Backup the configuration file or restore it.
- Admin Account: Change the range extender's login password.
- Language: Customize the range extender's web management language.
- Timed Reboot: Schedule for the range extender rebooting.
- Reboot: Reboot the range extender for the settings or changes to take effect.
- Reset: Restore the range extender to its factory default settings.
- LED Control: Control the range extender's LED.
4. Diagnostic Tools¶
4.1 - PING¶
Used to test the connectivity between the range extender and the tested host, and measure the round-trip time.
4.2 - TRACEROUTE¶
Used to test the route (path) your range extender has passed to reach the tested host, and measure transit delays of packets across an Internet Protocol network.
4.3 - NSLOOKUP¶
Check if the DNS IP address of the WAN can work normally.
4.4 - System Log¶
Track all the range extender behaviors. When the range extender does not work normally, download the system log and send it to our Technical Support for troubleshooting.
